Vidomi 0.469 is a free program that lets you both create and play DivX/MPEG4 videos from various types of origen files.

It can automatically eliminate black stripes (both above and below), process a set area, use all the codecs you have installed in your PC, it´s an effective compressor, lets you segment the video while keeping the sound synchronized, etc. It has encoding improvements (Lame, error correction, IVTC support, better CPU use ...) and in its player (better MPEG-1 Layer 3 playback, added options and error correction).
